Admission Criteria for Undergraduate Programs
To be considered for admission to the academic programs at the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS), applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Prospective students must hold a recognized General Education Diploma or its equivalent.
- This ensures that applicants have completed the necessary secondary education requirements for admission.
Upon enrollment, all new students will be required to undergo a series of examinations, beginning with the English proficiency assessment. As students’ progress through the program and additional subjects such as Mathematics and IT are introduced, they will be required to undertake further proficiency placement tests to determine their competency levels in these subjects. Based on the results of these assessments, students will be assigned to the appropriate proficiency levels. It is feasible for students to fulfil the foundation program requirements through successful testing and subsequently commence full-time academic classes.

Part One:
Students scoring below 50 will complete only Part One and will be placed in Level 1.
Level 1 students will be eligible to register for English and IT classes without the need for further placement tests.
Part Two:
Students scoring above 50 will proceed to sit for Part 2 (writing test). to determine their placement level.
Students with an IELTS score of 5.5 and above are exempt from the first section of the placement test and are required to take the other section of the English language program (writing test).
